Luety, Roger F.
(March 5, 1928 - June 1, 2010)
Roger F Luety age 82 died on Tuesday, June 1st, 2010 in the loving care of his family and staff at Sun Valley East in BeloitWisconsin. He was born on March 5, 1928 in BeloitWisconsin to Lawrence and Dorothy Luety. He graduated from BeloitHigh School. Roger then went on to serve his country in the Army from January 1947 to June 1948. He went to school for Avionics & Engineering, becoming a pilot and avionics mechanic. Roger met the love of his life Virginia D. Schulte and they married in Rockford on June 13, 1953. They moved to Beloit and had the joy of raising their five children in the Beloit Community. Roger worked in the family business Beloit Concrete and Stone until its closing. Roger drove truck for a couple of years before officially retiring, to spend his time doing what he enjoyed in life. He loved to fish, hunt, check out airplanes of all sorts and travel all over Wisconsin with his wife Virginia. Roger also loved to tinker with any type of machines, engines or wood working project. He was a gun enthusiast and an avid reader of books and magazines.
Roger is survived by his four children: Mary Lynn Gilbertson of Beloit, Mike Luety of Beloit, Stan (Deb) Luety of Beloit and Ron (Jackie) of Marengo Iowa. Ten grandchildren: Steve, Heather, Darcy, Kylie, Shelby, Brandon, Bryer, Brad (Angie), Kevin and Stephanie. Four great-grand children: Laney, Ethan, Laila and Parker. He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia, his parents, son Steven in1970 and two brother™s David and Larry Luety. Services will be held on Thursday June 3rd. at 2:00 pm at Rosman, Uehling and Kinzer Funeral Home. Father Gary Krahenbuhl will be officiating. Burial will follow at Mt.ThaborCemetery in Beloit. Friends may call on Thursday 1:00 pm until the time of service. The Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer Funeral Home & Cremation Service is entrusted with the care of the family. The family would like to thank Beloit Regional Hospice and the staff at Sun Valley East for the loving care provided to Roger and his family.
