Ward, Cleolene

(December 1, 1920 - March 17, 2010)

Mrs. Cleolene Ward was called to be with Our Heavenly Father on March 17, 2010.

 

She was born in Shannon, Mississippi to the union of Felix Patrick (Abdullah Alladin) and Arveria Patrick on December 1, 1920.

 

She confessed her hope in Christ at a very early age.   She became a member of PleasantGroveBaptistChurch, Houston, MS, under the Pastoralship of the late Reverend Isaiah Branson. Cleo served on the Usher Board and many other ministries faithfully.

 

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Robert Ward, November 1938, seven children were born to that union.

 

In December 2000, she and Robert relocated to Beloit, Wisconsin. She became a member of NewZionBaptistChurch under the Pastoralship of Reverend Henry Gladney, where she remained a member.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory: Corine (William) Ray, Chicago, Illinois, Robbie (Henry) Tucker, Gardenia (OP) Simon, Walter (Linda) Ward, all of Beloit, Wisconsin, Ruth (Willie) Pulliam, St. Louis, Mo.

 

Siblings: Iona Kendrick, Chicago, Illinois, Comolia Sims, Benton Harbor, Michigan, Castine Baskin,   and Warren D. Willis all of Youngstown, Ohio. Onawu Picket, Cicuma Alladin, Karima Alladin, Lumumda Alladin, Luthuli Alladin, and Mumbi Clark all of California. Sister-in laws, Odessa Patrick, Houston, Mississippi, Rachel Gordon, Madison, Wisconsin, Minerva Ward, Annie R Ward, and Odessa Ward all of Beloit, Wisconsin, one brother-in-law Ezekiel Ward, Beloit, Wisconsin. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

 

Cleo is predeceased in death by her parents, her husband Robert, one son, Robert Lewis Ward, one daughter Mattie Ward, and one brother Otto Patrick.
