Loomis, Marion J

(October 25, 1921 - March 10, 2010)

 

Marion J. Loomis, 88, of Beloit died on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at BeloitMemorialHospital.

She was born on October 25, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Minnie (Manke) Dauer.

On November 7, 1942, she was joined in marriage to Mr. Carl E. Loomis in Beloit.

Mrs. Loomis was an excellent homemaker. She loved baking, playing Bingo, working on word puzzles, playing cards, swimming and gardening.

She is survived by her children:

Linda ( Roy) Zamecnik " Alabaster, AL.

Carl (Jane) Loomis " Footville, WI.

Roger (Lemma) Loomis " Oxford, MS.

Tom (Melody) Loomis " Summer Lake, OR.

Ronald (Linda) Loomis " Beloit, WI.

Judy (Bob) Dorris " Beloit, WI.

Thirteen grandchildren and

Twenty-eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl, on May 26, 2003; their son Gary A. Loomis on June 25, 1998 at age 45; two great grandchildren, four sisters and one brother.

Pastor Ruth Kolpack of Beloit Regional Hospice will officiate.

 A luncheon will be held directly after the service in the funeral home™s Fellowship Room.

A special thanks to the staffs of Beloit memorial Hospital and Beloit Regional Hospice.
