Rampenthal, Karen Elizabeth

(October 6, 1941 - February 13, 2010)

Karen Elizabeth Rampenthal, 68, of Beloit died on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Sun Valley-East surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 6, 1941 in Beloit to Elmer and Hazel (Storlie) Simonson.

She was a graduate of BeloitMemorialHigh School, Class of 1959.

She was joined in marriage to Daniel F. Rampenthal, Jr.

Mrs. Rampenthal was employed as a waitress and as a C.N.A.

She enjoyed many hobbies including ceramics, playing the piano, dancing, listening to music, crocheting, cooking and baking.

She was a member of Our Savior™s LutheranChurch.

She is survived by one daughter:

D™Anne Rampenthal " S. Beloit, Ill.

Two granddaughters:

Kristen Rampenthal " S. Beloit, Ill.

Tia Nalan " Beloit, WI.

Three great grandchildren:

Desiree Neal, Haylee Lounsbury and Dayton Lounsbury, all of S. Beloit, Ill.

One sister, Dorothy Dunham " Beloit, Wisc.

Sister in law, Joanne Simonson " Orfordville, Wisc.

Brother in law, Richard (Mary) Rampenthal " Beloit.

Also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Daniel Rampenthal,

Two grandchildren: Bradley and Sharie Nalan

One brother Don Simonson

One brother in law, Ed Dunham.

   
Pastor Mark Maxsted of Beloit regional Hospice will officiate. A luncheon will follow in the Fellowship Room at the funeral home.
