Peterson, Jr, Arthur E.

(September 1, 1925 - January 8, 2010)

 Arthur E. Peterson, Jr, 84 of Beloit, died on Friday, January 8 at BeloitMemorialHospital.

Born September 1, 1925 in Beloit, the son of Arthur and Velma Peterson. He graduated from BeloitHigh School in 1945.

He was a long time employee of Fairbanks Morse Co. retiring in 1987 and was a member of Fairbanks Quarter Century Club.

He was also a lifelong member of Our Savior™s LutheranChurch and belonged to the Men™s Club. He served in the military during the Korean War and at one time was a member of the American Legion.

He loved music especially Dixieland Jazz, and loved to dance. He was also a fan of the Beloit Snappers and the Green Bay Packers.

Survivors are sister, Clarice Varner of Beloit.

Sister-in-law Darlene Peterson of Roscoe, Ill.

Nieces Dawn Peterson and her daughter Zoey of Roscoe, Ill., Lisa Rasmussen and her children Mallory and Jacob of Marysville, Washington, nephew Kirk Varner of Beloit.

Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald. Pastor Jelinek of Our Savior™s LutheranChurch will officiate. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service.
