Edwards, Michael Lee

(December 3, 1951 - December 30, 2009)

Mr. Michael Lee Edwards, 58, of Beloit, died on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison. He was born on December 3, 1951 in Beloit, the son of Norman and Claudia (Hall) Edwards. He was a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School, Class of 1970.
On October 29, 1972, he was joined in marriage to Deborah Keltner in Beloit.
Mike was employed by Coach U.S.A. as a bus driver. He took great pride in his work.
He loved his family, friends, fishing, golf, gambling, officiating various sporting events, coaching and drinking his Pepsi. As an official he was known to take time and explain the infraction to the young players after he blew his whistle.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah- Beloit
Their three children:
Deanna (Damion) Purfey-Aurora, Ill, and their daughter, Portia.
Nathan Edwards- Beloit.
David (Katie) Edwards- Reynoldsburg, Ohio
His mother, Claudia Edwards- Beloit
His three sisters:
Edith Edwards
Vicki Edwards
Sheri Glover
Four nieces and elevan great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and both sets of grandparents.
