Roach, Helen Marie

(August 29, 1930 - July 12, 2008)

Helen Marie Roach, 77, of Janesville, WI, died peacefully Saturday, July 12, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 29, 1930 in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Rudolph and Anna (Onofrey) Olznoi.   Helen graduated from St. Francis Academy in Joliet, IL.   She married Raymond J. Roach on August 5, 1950 in Joliet, IL. Raymond and Helen moved to Wisconsin in 1964 and have been residents of Janesville since 1977.   Helen™s life was devoted to her family and her faith.   She was a member of St. Mary™s Catholic Church in Janesville, WI.

 

Survivors include her husband, Raymond J. and their 5 children; daughter, Joanne Woodman of Janesville, WI and her family; Julie (David) Stout, Jacob, Olivia and Samuel of Fontana, WI, John (Erin) Woodman, Kaleb, Conner, and Chloe of St. Cloud, MN,   Janie Woodman of Janesville, WI, and Jennifer (Cherry Pie) Woodman of Los Cruces, NM, daughter Mary (Robert) Farmer, Jennifer and Bobby of Huntsville, AL, son, Patrick (Sharon) Roach, Emily Shoemaker and Adam of Janesville, WI, daughter, Rose (Robert) Gregg, Matthew (Jill Vetter, fianc©e) and Erika of Janesville, WI and son, John (Amy) Roach, Katie and Ellie of Janesville, WI; sisters, Betty Reilly of Joliet, IL and Mary (Joseph) Nichele of Lockport, IL; daughter-in-law, Connie Sebastian of Desert Hot Springs, CA and sister-in-law, Vera (Ron) Habing of Wilmington, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael on March 26, 1989; son-in-law, James Woodman on September 23, 2002; sisters, Catherine Theobald and Ann O™Conner;

brothers, Rudy, Edward and Andrew.

 

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 in St. Mary™s Catholic Church 313 East Wall Street Janesville, WI with Fr. Stephen Umhoefer and Fr. John Auby concelebrating.   Burial will be in Mt.OlivetCemetery in Janesville, WI.   Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the church.

 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established at a later date.
