Johns, Dorothy Jeanette

(May 22, 1912 - June 22, 2008)

Dorothy Jeanette Johns, 96, of Beloit, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, June 22, 2008 in the loving care of her daughter and grandchildren. She was born on May 22, 1912 in Beloit to William and Nellie (Smith) brown. Dorothy married Burdette Johns on January 29, 1935 in Rockford, Illinois. When she was younger, she was baptized at Central Christian Church. A member of the Eagles™ Club she was an avid card player at the Senior Center of Beloit.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Ann Lynch of Janesville; three grandsons: Mark Lynch of Houston, Texas; Jeff (Mary) Lynch of Rochester, Minnesota and Chris (Sue) Lynch of Madison, Wisconsin. She is further survived by four great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Burdette in 1978, a son at birth and her son-in-law, Francis X. Lynch. Also by three brothers and five sisters.

A private family burial will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at FloralLawnCemetery.

Friends may visit on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Funeral Home.
