Messerli, William

(August 19, 1945 - June 9, 2008)

William "Bill" Messerli age 62, of Beloit, Wisconsin died Monday June 9, 2008 at his home. He was born to Fritz and Tena (Bunders) Misserli on August 19, 1945 in Prairie Du Chen Wisconsin. Bill graduated from Prairie Du Chen High School in 1963. After graduation he joined the United States Navy and proudly served in Vietnam and also aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise. Upon leaving the Navy he moved to Beloit and in 1972 took over his father's business, Bill's Belray in Beloit, Wisconsin. He was a member of the Eagles Club, a lifetime member of the VFW, Moose Club and the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his mother Tena,

His five sisters:                      

Arlene (Bill) Boots, Bonnie (Hugh) Trachaska, Mary Jane Thomas, Judy (special friend Ken Hilton) Messerli, Leila Messerli.

Five nieces and nephews and eight grand nieces and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Frank in 1971 and his father in 1972 and his brother in law Richard in 1980.

Funeral Service will be Friday June 13, 2008 time 10:30a.m. at the Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Funeral Home. Chaplin Robert Theroux of the Viet Now Rockford Chapter to officiate.
